Relação com Mortara e dinâmica interna

Ao ser questionado sobre seu companheiro de equipe, Edoardo Mortara, que teve um início de temporada mais consistente, De Vries descartou qualquer tipo de rivalidade interna.

“O foco da equipe está sempre no coletivo. A Fórmula E exige colaboração total. Não vejo a dinâmica interna como uma disputa.”

Ele também lembrou os problemas enfrentados no início da temporada, como falhas técnicas, penalidades no grid e dificuldades de desempenho, que impactaram seus resultados.

Mônaco não muda objetivos, mas reforça a confiança

Apesar do impacto da vitória, De Vries afirmou que a Mahindra não pretende mudar sua abordagem para o restante do campeonato.

“Não vejo isso como um ponto de virada. O objetivo principal continua sendo somar pontos de forma consistente, o que é fundamental para o campeonato.”

“Não existe fórmula mágica. É a soma de vários detalhes: classificação forte, gestão de energia, decisões estratégicas e um bom ritmo de carro.”

Ele destacou especialmente a estratégia oposta aos líderes durante a janela do Pit Boost, aproveitando a energia economizada para ganhar posições de forma virtual.

“Tudo funcionou quase perfeitamente. Conseguimos nos adaptar bem às mudanças da corrida e executar um cenário próximo do ideal.”

Ainda há diferença para Porsche e Jaguar

Mesmo com a vitória, De Vries reconheceu que a Mahindra ainda busca melhorias técnicas, principalmente em eficiência energética, área em que vê Porsche e Jaguar TCS Racing ligeiramente à frente.

“Estamos muito próximos e já conseguimos competir com eles, mas ainda existe uma pequena vantagem em eficiência do lado deles.”

“Everything worked almost perfectly. We adapted well to race conditions and executed something very close to the ideal scenario.”

Still a gap to Porsche and Jaguar

Even with the win, De Vries admitted Mahindra still needs to improve in key technical areas, particularly energy efficiency, where he sees Porsche and Jaguar TCS Racing slightly ahead.

“We are close and able to fight them, but they still have a small advantage in efficiency.”

Gen4 excitement builds

Another key topic was Formula E’s upcoming Gen4 car. De Vries revealed he has already tested it in the simulator and is highly enthusiastic about the project.

“The Gen4 looks incredible. 600 kW of power with all-wheel drive is a massive step in performance.”
