O brasileiro Nicholas Monteiro finalizou nesta segunda-feira
(23) a maratona de testes coletivos da INDY NXT by Firestone no Miami
International Autódromo. O piloto do carro #4 disputou seis sessões ao longo do
domingo e segunda-feira, trabalhando no acerto do equipamento no traçado de
1,81 milhas.
A evolução foi marcante. Se no início dos trabalhos Monteiro
marcando tempos na casa de 1min03s, ao término do evento ele conseguiu baixar a
marca para a casa de 1min01s.
O melhor resultado veio na Sessão 5, na tarde de
segunda-feira: 01:01.2894, com velocidade média de 106.315 mph. No combinado
das seis sessões, o brasileiro terminou em 19º lugar entre 24 pilotos. A
liderança ficou com Ricardo Escotto, que registrou 01:00.3559.
Além da performance, os testes foram produtivos em termos de
quilometragem. Monteiro acumulou 160 voltas nos dois dias de atividades –
número expressivo para coleta de dados em uma categoria tão competitiva.
Com o fim da atividade em Miami, as equipes agora voltam às
bases para analisar as informações obtidas antes do início oficial da temporada
2026.

Brazilian driver Nicholas Monteiro finished the INDY NXT by
Firestone collective testing marathon at the Miami International Autodrome on
Monday (23). The driver of car #4 competed in six sessions over Sunday and
Monday, working on fine-tuning the equipment on the 1.81-mile track.
The improvement was remarkable. While Monteiro initially set
times in the 1min03s range, by the end of the event he had managed to lower his
time to around 1min01s.
His best result came in Session 5, on Monday afternoon:
01:01.2894, with an average speed of 106.315 mph. In the combined results of
the six sessions, the Brazilian finished 19th out of 24 drivers. Ricardo
Escotto led the time with 01:00.3559.
